What will the building products and interiors of the future look like? How can materials be developed to be more sustainable, recyclable, and resource-efficient? And how can small and medium-sized enterprises, in particular, bring innovations to market more quickly?

These questions are the focus of the new R.A.U.M. Laboratory Euregio-Maas-Rhine – Resources, Atmospheres, Environments, People, which is being established under the leadership of the TFI – Institute for Soil and Spatial Systems at RWTH Aachen e.V. The project consortium comprises a total of nine organizations from the fields of business, engineering, natural sciences, sociology, medicine, and business administration.

On October 5, 2026, starting at 1:00 p.m. , the R.A.U.M. Lab will present itself to a wider public for the first time as part of the event “Shaping the Future Together: Introducing the R.A.U.M. Lab”.
