The assessment training in accordance with EN ISO 9405 (assessment of changes in the appearance of textile floor coverings) is offered by TFI It is very individually tailored to the needs of the customer and can be booked by both newcomers and experienced assessors. The certificate of attendance is recognised externally as part of the QM qualification certificate.

The aim of this workshop is to provide a relaxed and accessible introduction to the concept of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and its importance for companies today. The integration of CSR aspects in one’s own organisation offers a multitude of benefits that can include both long-term strategic advantages and immediate operational improvements. It is also important to proactively sensitise yourself to these topics with regard to the upcoming reporting obligation (CSRD).

The CSR workshop is a one-day event aimed at company directors, executives, CSR officers, sustainability managers and anyone interested in deepening their knowledge of corporate social responsibility.

Participants will leave the workshop with a deeper understanding of CSR, practical tools and ideas for implementation in their own organisation and a concrete action plan for integrating sustainability principles into their business strategy. At the same time, these are the best prerequisites for creating their own sustainability reports.

The fire behaviour of a product is relevant to safety. We know which fire tests are required for your construction product.

The course “Fundamentals of Textile Technology” provides an initial overview of the entire process chain of textile manufacturing processes, from raw materials and basic terminology to processes and machines through to finishing, manufacturing and utilisation/recycling.

Many practical examples will be shown using pictures and videos. The event is aimed e.g. at employees of companies in the textile process chain who have no previous textile training and would like to gain a basic insight into the versatile world of fibres, yarns, textile surfaces and their applications.

The purpose of the event is to provide customers with product-specific information by showing them the acoustic tests, the main influencing parameters and the subsequent use of the test results. Customers can choose the scope and topics.

What happens to your product in the acoustic laboratory? Which parameters have an influence on the test? How is the test carried out, what do the measurement results say and how are they used later?

The first part of the seminar on the manufacturing and testing of textile floor coverings provides an insight into the various process steps involved in product manufacturing. The common surface formation processes of tufting, weaving, needlepunch, flock and adhesive pile are presented.

The process steps of colouring, shearing and backings are also considered.

The second part deals with the testing of textile floor coverings. Both the mechanical load and abrasion tests as well as the tests for electrostatic behaviour are considered. If required, fire tests as well as chemical and building physics tests can also be presented.

Environmental product declarations (EPDs)are becoming increasingly important. However, the concept of the EPD with its modular structure from Module A to Module D and the large amount of data describing the environmental impact is not immediately self-explanatory. We explain the concept and the basics of an EPD as well as the individual steps leading up to the publication of your own EPD.
