Why cannot the results of the European ISO 9239-1 test be transferred to the American ASTM E648 standard, even though both procedures are performed with the Radiant Panel device? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The test procedures differ in terms of air velocity settings, conditioning time, and test duration, among other things. In addition, the ASTM E662 standard must be used to measure smoke density. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new version of ASTM E648 now also includes changes to the calibration procedure (calibration frequency, number of referencepoints). The calibration procedure verifies that the requirement for heat flow (heat impact) on the sample surface is met.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

EN ISO 10833 \u2013 Textile floor coverings \u2013 Suitability at cut edges<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Adjustment of the\u00a0evaluation and classification criteria<\/strong>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

EN 1815 \u2013 Resilient and textile floor coverings \u2013 Determination of electrostatic charge during walking (walking test)<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Specification of test conditions<\/strong>, in particular the\u00a0sole material<\/strong>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

EN 14215 \u2013 Classification of rugs and runners<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Addition of use\u00a0classes in the commercial\u00a0area\u00a0(classes 31-33)\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Drum test and appearance change of textile floor coverings<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the previous test standard ISO 10361, the two methods were combined with the Vettermann drum and the hexapod test. With the new revions, each method now has its own test standard: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

– ISO 23122 \u2013 Hexapod test\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– ISO 23106 \u2013\u00a0Vettermann\u00a0drum\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The test procedures and methodology remain unchanged for both tests. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Flexible accreditation of the TFI by DAkkS \u2013 explained simply<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Flexible accreditation is a special form of recognition by the German Accreditation Body (DAkkS). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Flexible accreditation allows the TFI to: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Adapt or further develop test procedures within a specified area\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Apply new or amended standards\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
