To develop the cleaning device, a high-voltage source and an electrode of suitable geometry (shape and size matched to standard brush vacuums, energy requirement of the high-voltage source) as well as a supply and exhaust air system are integrated into a standard brush vacuum cleaner. As before, dirt is removed by brush suction in a single operation. Furthermore, suitable process parameters (e.g. voltage and frequency of the AC voltage, electrode geometry and distance) for efficient dry disinfection and deodorisation of textile floor coverings with electrode pile are being researched. This will ensure that dry disinfection and deodorisation of the textile floor covering is achieved through the entire wear layer to the base layer by an inverse streamer corona discharge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Both manufacturers of textile floor coverings (mainly SMEs) and cleaning service providers (mainly SMEs) will benefit from the project results, as an innovative process for dry disinfection and deodorisation of textile floor coverings with electrode pile is being developed here as part of daily maintenance cleaning. As the dry disinfection and deodorisation of textile floor coverings with electrode pile, in contrast to the full-surface disinfection of commercially available textile floor coverings in the context of wet cleaning, does not impair the facility operator&#8217;s operations due to long drying times, a high level of acceptance and demand can be expected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image
