Ignitability of upholstered furniture - Ignition source match-flame equivalent
The butane flame test determines the ignitability of an upholstery compound. To do this, a gas flame (comparable to a lighted match) is ignited and placed in the joint of a test unit (stylised shape of an armchair) between the back and seat.
