Burning behaviour for floorings

A flooring is exposed in a horizontal position (as in the case of a fire) to a radiant heat source and a pilot flame. This test is essential for the classification according to EN 13501-1 and the CE marking. Our fire laboratory has the Radiant Panel test device for this purpose.

Testing Properties

  • Determination of the burning behavior using a radiant heat source according to DIN EN ISO 9239-1 (essential test for reaction to fire class Dfl-s1, Dfl-s2, Cfl-s1, Cfl-s2, Bfl-s1, Bfl-s2, A2fl)
  • Standard Test Method for Critical Radiant Flux of Floor-Covering Systems Using a Radiant Heat Energy Source gemäß ASTM E648-19ae1
  • Fire classification of construction products and building elements according to DIN EN 13501-1
  • Resilient, textile, laminate and modular mechanical locked floor coverings (MMF)– Essential characteristics according to DIN EN 14041
  • Surfaces for sports areas – Indoor surfaces for multi-sports use – Specification according to DIN EN 14904
  • Parquet and wood flooring – Characteristics, evaluation of conformity and marking according to DIN EN 14904
